Job Description
RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Business Development Manager in Dallas, TX. This is a full-time direct-hire On-Site assignment with frequent travel required (primarily shorter overnight trips, with more flying than driving). As a Business Development Manager, you will drive new business growth for a specialized technical services company serving the power generation market. You will prospect and develop new utility, coal-fired power, and industrial clients, reactivate dormant accounts, and expand relationships across existing customers. You will partner with subject matter experts and line managers to present technical solutions for thermal spray, protective coatings, and equipment life-extension services. This role is well suited to an entrepreneurial, self-motivated professional who thrives on identifying and closing new opportunities.
As a Business Development Manager YOU will:
· Prospect and pursue new utilities, coal-fired power plants, and industrial customers
· Reactivate former customers and dormant accounts
· Identify whitespace opportunities within existing customer organizations
· Expand relationships across other business units, facilities, and divisions of established customers
· Build relationships through plant visits, customer meetings, conferences, and networking
· Conduct technical discussions and coordinate support from SMEs and engineers
· Organize lunch-and-learns and other customer education engagements
· Maintain a minimum of approximately 2 documented customer visits per week
· Travel regularly across assigned territories, with more flying than driving
YOU are the ideal Business Development Manager candidate if you have:
· Proven track record of new business development and prospecting (required)
· Coal-fired power, boiler, or utility industry knowledge (required)
· Established relationships with utilities, power plants, or plant decision-makers (required)
· Demonstrated ability to develop new customers and close deals independently (required)
· Ability to sell technical, engineered services and solutions
· Willingness and ability to travel frequently (required)
· Entrepreneurial, strategic, and highly motivated with high energy
· Strong professional presence, communication skills, and customer-facing credibility
· Background in boiler services, welding, mechanical repair, industrial maintenance, or thermal spray (preferred)
It’s a BONUS if you have:
· Engineering degree (not required)
· Welding or boiler maintenance background
· Thermal spray exposure
· Military or Navy veteran experience
· Industrial field services experience
