Job Summary
The Deputy Program Manager supports the Program Manager in planning, executing, and managing complex defense and space-related programs. The role provides day-to-day leadership for program operations, workforce management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, risk management, quality assurance, and mission support while ensuring successful contract execution and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Program Manager in overall program planning, execution, and management.

Serve as acting Program Manager when required.

Oversee day-to-day program operations and contract execution.

Manage staffing, workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and resource allocation.

Coordinate subcontractor activities and mission support efforts.

Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

Monitor program performance, schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.

Track program risks, mitigation plans, and performance metrics.
-
Support operational readiness, sustainment, and lifecycle planning.

Develop staffing and execution plans for evolving mission requirements.

Coordinate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and mission partners.

Prepare program reports and performance updates for leadership.

Ensure quality assurance and successful delivery of contract requirements.

Support systems integration, sustainment, and mission capability development.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business, Management, or a related field.

Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP access.

Minimum 8 years of experience supporting or managing DoD/Federal programs.

Experience managing programs valued at $25M or greater.

Minimum 5 years supporting space systems, satellite ground systems, command and control, or related programs.

Experience with workforce management, scheduling, resource planning, and mission support.

Experience maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and program metrics.

Experience with risk management and performance reporting.
-
PMP, PgMP, DAWIA Program Management, or equivalent certification.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
