Position Summary

The Deputy Program Manager will support the Executive Officer and Program Manager in managing daily contract performance. The Deputy Program Manager will coordinate operational priorities, monitor staffing and deliverables, address issues, and serve as an alternate program lead when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily contract and workforce-management activities.
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, assignments, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor cost, schedule, quality, performance, and deliverable status.
  • Maintain risk, issue, action-item, and decision trackers.
  • Support internal controls and standards-of-conduct compliance.
  • Assist with management reports, staffing reports, dashboards, and briefings.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications with Government stakeholders.
  • Support transition, onboarding, workforce retention, and continuity planning.
  • Identify performance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Serve as an alternate point of contact and acting program lead when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field or 12 years of qualifying experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Program Management experience.
  • Current Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience managing personnel, schedules, risks, issues, and contract deliverables.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal professional-services, management-support, or headquarters-operations contracts.
  • Department of State or other federal civilian-agency experience.
  • Experience with workforce planning, cleared staffing, onboarding, and retention.
  • Experience monitoring contract health, workforce utilization, service levels, and operational performance.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, quality management, and process-improvement practices.
  • Experience facilitating executive meetings and preparing senior-leadership reports.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or related delivery methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Power BI, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Compensation Range: The salary range provided is determined by market value, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. Offers will be extended within this range, though not all candidates will receive an offer at the upper limit.
