Greystones Group has an opportunity for a Strategic Business Development Manager, to lead the growth and adoption of our suite of artificial intelligence solutions across the Department of War (DoW). This role will support the full capture and sales cycle (prospecting, capture, and close), selling AI-enabled mission planning, logistics, analytics, and decision-support products directly to Navy and Army program offices, systems commands, and end users. This is a relationship-driven, quota-carrying role for someone who is proactive, mission-focused, and comfortable operating across both the operational and acquisition communities.

Base Salary of $130-150k with additional earning potential through a commission and performance incentive program.

Location: DC Metro or Surrounding Area with willingness to commute

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle for Greystones' suite of AI solutions across the Department of War, with a primary focus on the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, from prospecting and qualification through demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline by developing relationships with program offices, systems commands, combatant commands, focusing on requirements owners, contracting officers, and end users.
  • Develop and execute account and capture strategies that align Greystones' AI capabilities to funded and emerging mission requirements.
  • Translate warfighter and analyst mission needs into clear value propositions, and coordinate with engineering management to scope demonstrations, pilots, and proofs of concept.
  • Represent Greystones at industry days, conferences, and customer engagements, and serve as a trusted advisor to Government stakeholders.
  • Support RFI, sources-sought, and RFP responses in partnership with capture, proposal, and technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account activity in the CRM, and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue and bookings targets.

Qualifications:

  • Military experience, particularly in the U.S. Army or U.S. Navy, with a background in defense acquisition is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the DoW acquisition lifecycle, requirements generation, PPBE/funding, and government contracting.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with U.S. Army and/or U.S. Navy program offices, systems commands, or acquisition organizations, with the ability to build trusted relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Experience selling, acquiring, or fielding technology, software, or AI/analytics solutions in a government or enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with contract vehicles and pathways such as OTAs, SBIR/STTR, GSA, and IDIQs.
  • Willingness to travel to various commands as needed (up to 40%).
  • Bachelor's degree; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance
